Vasantha Jotwani, Assistant Professor joined us July 1, 2016 after graduating from UCSF Nephrology Fellowship


Congratulations to Dr. Vasantha Jotwani for being awarded a KL2 award and Dr. Harini Sarathy, MD for receiving the Benn Lipps Research Fellowship from the American Society of Nephrology!


Jesse Ikeme has been granted a year-long research fellowship through UCSF's Year-Long Pathways Research Fellowship through the Resource Allocation Program for trainees (RAP’tr).  His project is entitled, Examining Vascular Cerebro-Renal Associations to Elucidate Potential Mechanisms of Renal Injury: Post-Hoc Analysis of the SPS3 Randomized Trial.


Resident, Julie Kim, MD, has published a paper in AIDS (Jan 2016) on tenofovir exposure and biocarbonate in HIV-infected Veterans. Her paper was entitled, Tenofovir exposure alters associations of serum bicarbonate with chronic kidney disease risk in HIV-infected Veterans.  The full abstract can be found here.
