Giselle Peschard, MD

Giselle Peschard is a Nephrology Research Fellow within the Division of Nephrology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She completed medical school at Anahuac University in Mexico City and a master's in medical sciences in Mexico before moving to the United States. She continued her education in the United States, completing her Internal Medicine Residency at Barnes Jewish Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis, MO.

At KHRC, Giselle focuses her research on the utilization of innovative urine and blood biomarkers that offer the unique capability of quantifying kidney tubule damage and dysfunction, shedding new light on the understanding of kidney disease processes, particularly in high-risk and vulnerable populations. 

Outside nephrology research, she enjoys hiking, playing tennis and music.
