Erica Day, MPH

Erica is the Operations and Finance Director of the KHRC. Erica was born and raised outside Baltimore, MD and obtained her undergraduate degree in Health Studies-Science at Georgetown University. She went on to get her Masters in Public Health at the University of Maryland, College Park- School of Public Health. While she was getting her MPH, Erica worked at the Children’s Inn at NIH, which is a residential “place like home” for sick children and their families who are at NIH participating in experimental studies. It was during this time that she developed a passion for being part of cutting edge medical research and innovative thinking.

After completing her MPH, Erica moved to San Francisco to work with Dr. Shlipak as his Research Coordinator. For the past 15 years she has managed his research program and also manages Dr. Estrella's as well as aids junior investigators in managing their growing research portfolios. Erica directs all operational and financial tasks related to the KHRC and handles all pre- and post- award duties for KHRC investigators based at the SFVA.
