Mason is a rising 4th year medical student at UCSF. A bay area native, he completed his undergraduate degree at UCLA before returning home. He is currently working with Drs. Estrella and Shlipak on the PLWH enrolled in the Predictors of Acute Renal Injury Study (PARIS) cohort study to explore and characterize the utility of novel urine biomarkers in PLWH. He is excited to learn more about statistical and clinical research methodologies from his mentors at KHRC and plans to apply to internal medicine residency.
